- What is holistic therapy useful for?
The type of holistic therapies I offer can be of use to all those who want to take care of their well-being and psychological, physical and spiritual health. The treatments are aimed at providing valuable support useful in a myriad of circumstances i.e. whiplash pain, persistent migraine, post-surgery phase, recurrent anxiety and sleep disorders, IBS issues or simply to help overcome a period of very intense stress.
Here are just a number of examples for which the therapies offered can be very useful:
> Recurring symptoms and chronic diseases such as digestive difficulties, stomach acid and reflux, intestinal problems, chronic headache, back pain and pain in the cervical tract, fatigue, painful menstruation and typical discomforts related to pregnancy, thyroiditis, dysfunction of the urinary tract and organs that play a valuable role in purifying the body of toxins such as kidney and liver, sinusoid and respiratory tract congestion, bronchitis, etc.
> Stress and anxiety: states of stress, panic attacks, anxiety, sleep and memory disorders.
> Support during chemotherapy or post-surgical therapies: during these delicate phases where the body is working extra to restore an important balance that was missing, a cycle of holistic treatments can strengthen the body's resilience by stimulating the immune system and the functions that the body naturally performs every day.
A cycle of holistic treatments is certainly also useful to all those people who are curious to experiment the holistic approach and want to know themselves better starting from the awareness of their own body, moving on to preserve their own state of health (homeostasis) and undertake a personal growth path.
- What is the most effective treatment? What kind of treatment suits me perfectly?
Starting from the concept that each individual is "unique and unrepeatable", the same treatment may seem more effective for one person and less for another. Indeed, there is no better treatment than another as each is extremely efficient and in different ways. The best way to understand which is the most suitable technique for your needs is therefore to talk about it with the therapist and start with the one towards which you instinctively feel the greatest affinity, curiosity and interest. Depending on the sensations and the results obtained at the end of the first treatment, it will be possible to establish whether the chosen therapy is the most suitable one or whether to experiment with another one that certainly fully satisfies one's uniqueness.
- How long do the treatments last and what frequency do they have? What minimum number of treatments can be considered sufficient to notice long-term effects?
The sessions are individual and personalized. The meetings are usually at a constant frequency of once a week if it is sufficient, or twice a week if specific needs require it (or every 15 days depending on how the body responds to the treatments), and their overall duration. it varies from 40 minutes to an hour, but can be adapted according to the conditions in which the person finds himself and his needs. It is generally recommended to carry out at least a cycle of 5-6 consecutive treatments. The holistic treatments offered are techniques of extraordinary effectiveness that have rapid effects from the first sessions but obviously this also depends on the self-balancing ability of each person, who will be appropriately stimulated as well as the confidence in their own self-healing capacity, the desire to find harmony with every part of oneself and as a whole with the constant commitment to improve one's well-being conditions.
- What are the roles of the patient and the therapist?
The holistic therapist has the task of stimulating the body's natural self-healing processes, removing energetic and emotional blocks, providing relief from painful symptoms and giving deep relaxation to the body and mind by predisposing the circumstances particularly favourable to rebalancing, thus enhancing its abilities 'to face any impediment to the optimal balance of the client's overall health. The client, on the other hand, will prepare himself to maintain a flowing breath during the session, feel deeply the reactions that take place in his own body and welcome them, dissolve the emotional tensions that often stiffen and contract many parts of the body with therapeutic support. It is therefore, a path based on collaboration and mutual trust between therapist and recipient where my role is to provide you with the support that allows the body-mind binomial to express its full potential while you participate in an proactive and conscious way to your own personal self-healing development. At the end of each treatment, the patient is encouraged to provide feedback on the perceptions received during the treatment and those on the experience just ended, while the therapist will provide feedback if desired.
- Do the treatments replace conventional treatments?
The holistic treatments described on this website do not in any case replace normal medical treatment, but they can be of great help to existing treatments. A therapist does not make any diagnosis but, for example, alongside traditional cures, holistic treatments often help to consolidate healing by offering the necessary support so that, where possible, health difficulties are permanently resolved. Holistic treatments can also simply be done to prevent a myriad of health ailments and not just to facilitate healing.
- "I have a fracture.. "-or- "I had a surgery.. how can I be sure that the treatments are compatible with my situation?"
Before starting any treatment, the operator will ascertain the patient's general state of health through a first initial interview and will collect all the relevant information regarding the medical history. Once all the more or less serious health problems have been verified, it will be possible to suggest the most appropriate therapies and in any case avoid any possible difficulty or discomfort during the treatment. The therapist will be able to act without using too invasive techniques on the affected area or aim to support it with effective techniques that do not involve direct contact.
FAQ
- What should I expect from a typical session?
First of all, you will be required to provide from the start important information about the evolution of your medical history (i.e. if you have a medical condition going on, if you are taking medicines currently, if you have fractures, dislocations or conditions such as sprain or strain, disc herniation, osteoarthritis, arthrosis, protrusion, etc.
The session will take place on a bed treatment where you can comfortably lie down and participate with awareness, keeping the concentration on the stimuli and consequent effects in the body, breathing fluently in order to release any kind of physical or emotional tension and allow your organism to facilitate the ongoing self-healing process. If you are going to receive a Reflexology session it is recommended to wear comfortable clothes so as to allow the therapist's manipulations on the ankles and feet: once the foot-reading has been completed after verifying the various reflex points on the feet related to the corresponding areas identified of the body, the therapist will decide the treatment plan and which kind of techniques to use.
In case it will take place a Reiki treatment, it is sufficient to remove shoes, tight belts, or any other accessory that could interfere with the natural energy flow in the body. During the session you may experience deep relaxation, sleepiness, emotions that emerge to be released, pleasant bodily sensations connected to the organism's reactions to therapy and diffused lightness.

Usually holistic treatments do not cause physical discomfort even if the reactions may vary from person to person and can include tickling or tingling during a Reiki treatment for example, soreness or mild pain at the time of a Massage or Reflexology techniques which can be adapted and adjusted in every single circumstance to guarantee the effectiveness and at the same time avoiding that any discomfort arises. During the first consultation the client will let me know about the intensity of pressure desired and any type of condition that may require pressure adjustment or avoid certain affected area of the body.
- How many treatments will I need?
This depends on the specific needs of each client. In Reflexology for example, after the first session and related foot reading, the therapist will also evaluate according to the individual reactions if it will be necessary sessions twice a week for example or one a week for a cycle of 4-6 treatments, also evaluating the feedback of each client.
